Billboard Video changes its name to Citix and Yana Shoi becomes the CEO. We assemble a spectacular new team of engineers, developers, product managers, creatives, marketers, and SmartCity experts and work on improving TomTom.

.The year of pandemic

Despite the pandemic, we fulfill financial obligations to banks and employees on time and achieve a positive EBITDA margin of 17% thanks to effective management and the team’s hard work.

.Active expansion

We actively expand the network of smartboards and grow exponentially: USD 2.2 million in revenue in 2020, USD 4.6 million in 2021, USD 6.1 million in 2022. We expand the company's client portfolio with 200+ global giant brands that consider Citix a key partner in the region: Coca-Cola, Apple, Samsung, Hyundai, etc.

.The new status

Citix becomes the leader on the DOOH market. We have confirmed a healthy business model and are ready to expand. Citix launches a successful pilot in Turkey and installs 5 smartboards in Istanbul. We attract an anchor shareholder — Timur Turlov, the founder and majority shareholder of Freedom Holding Corp investment group. After all the geopolitical and market shocks at the beginning of 2022, we achieve a 49% EBITDA margin.

.the ecosystem

Tim Draper becomes the first US investor in Citix, and this leads to the first case of a Kazakhstan-based IT company attracting US investments. The investment amount is 1 million USD, at a 98 million USD valuation. We expand the product line and launch two smartboards: Jerry and Shark. We acquire a 49% stake in Quantum and Excello, two promising startups, expanding the Citix ecosystem.

.new horizons yet again

We raise $20 million on the Astana International Exchange by placing two-year dollar bonds with a yield of 11% per annum. We enter into a strategic partnership with Kazakh Tourism. Now we are ready to introduce smartboards in the UAE with a strategic partnership with Seed Group. We launch a franchise and open access to our AdTech ecosystem. We kick off a project to upgrade the network of petrol stations in Oman with our first smartboard — Smart Pillar. We wrap 2024 with a game-changing outdoor ad — the first 3D video in Central Asia featuring live characters.
